Oral History Projects

The University Archives and Southern Minnesota Historical Center are actively conducting two oral history projects.

Tell Your MSU Story documents the experiences of alumni, faculty, staff, and current students of Minnesota State University, Mankato. Many oral histories are available through ARCH.

Old Main Village is celebrating the 100th anniversary of it's dedication on April 8.  It was originally part of the Lower Campus of Minnesota State Mankato until it's closure in 1979. As part of this event, the University Archives is collecting stories about Old Main from students, alumni, teachers, emloyees and community members.  Please consider submitting your story online today.  https://link.mnsu.edu/oldmain You can also contact us at archives@mnsu.edu for more information or a PDF version of the form.

South Central Minnesota Veterans History Project works with Veterans History Project through the Library of Congress to document the experiences of military veterans. Project kits are available online. Contact us for help if you'd like to participate in this important project.
