If you are looking for information from our collections, we highly encourage you to view our digital collections in Arch.  Arch contains a wealth of digitized photographs, yearbooks, oral histories, the complete school newspaper, the Reporter back to 1926, and more. Additionally, you can view our archival collection guides.

Archives staff are available to answer questions through our archives@mnsu.edu email or scheduled phone or Zoom appointments.

The University Archives is the official repository of records of Minnesota State University, Mankato. The Archives contains records from the creation of the Mankato Normal School in 1868 to the present.

The Southern Minnesota Historical Center (SMHC) is a regional research center containing manuscript collections from twelve counties in South Central Minnesota. The Center contains organizational and business records as well as personal papers dating to the 1850s.

The University Archives and Southern Minnesota Historical Center is located on the 2nd floor of the Memorial Library at Minnesota State University, Mankato. Watch this video to learn how to get there.
