Embedding Information Literacy & Library Activities In the Curriculum
Librarians are here to help your students develop information literacy and navigate resources available through Library Services and beyond. We partner with instructors to cocreate course-integrated information literacy learning activities and assignments.
Information literacy “is the set of integrated abilities encompassing the reflective discovery of information, the understanding of how information is produced and valued, and the use of information in creating new knowledge and participating ethically in communities of learning” (ACRL Framework for Information Literacy for Higher Education). It encompasses behavioral, affective, cognitive, and metacognitive engagement with information and includes concepts such as digital literacy, media literacy, AI literacy, and data literacy.
