Information Literacy & Archives in the Curriculum Fellowship

2024 Information Literacy & Archives in the Curriculum Fellowship

This fellowship will support campus Faculty’s ability to integrate information literacy concepts and/or archival resources into existing or new courses.

The Fellowship will occur during Summer 2024 and begin with two 2-hour group online sessions on May 14 and 15 from 10-noon.

  • Fellowship recipients are expected to attend both online, synchronous sessions.
  • Participants will be asked to complete a brief reflective assignment between session 1 and session 2.

Following the kick-off event, fellowship recipients will choose either the information literacy track or the archives track. They will then work on a project to integrate elements of the Information Literacy Framework and/or the use of University Archives into an existing course outline or a specific assignment. In this process, participants will meet with one or more of the fellowship facilitators at least two more times over the summer in small group or individual sessions. These follow-up sessions may be scheduled in-person or online, as needed by the participant.   All Fellowship participants will be asked to do a brief (~15 minute) presentation of their work during AY25. These presentations will be arranged in collaboration with the participants.
