Adam Smith, Archives Technician

I work with my colleagues in preserving the history of Minnesota State University, Mankato and South Central Minnesota through the University Archives and Southern Minnesota Historical Center. We preserve collections of documents, photographs and 3D materials through physical and digital preservation methods and make them available for researchers. In addition, I assist with the Lass Center for Minnesota Studies and the University Records Center. Prior to coming to Minnesota State Mankato I worked in the museum world in collections management and exhibits and am interested in finding ways to help local historical societies find ways to preserve their collections more efficiently.
